When people hear that I work on computer magazines, they often ask me what kinds of things I'm learning. I usually have read something interesting about the future of technology that I'm able to share. If anyone asks me what I learned at work today, I will tell them that I learned of the Jancee Pornick Casino, a band that mixes, according to one of our interviewees, heavy and surf punk with Russian folk music. How could I possibly pass that up? So I pulled up one of their songs on youtube and was delighted to find that they are the self-proclaimed "Rasputins of Rock." New favorite band. And it's not because of their music.
